The Second Wife was a tough book to write because it was the first I’d penned after my beloved dad died. In the last weeks of his life I spent every day in a care home surrounded by wonderful elderly people. But it struck me how certain residents had no visitors at all. I felt so sad for them, but as always my mind started imagining. Perhaps they had fallen out with family over an inheritance, or what happens when there are multiple exes? I merged those thoughts with the world of music, a topic I know quite a bit about as our daughter is a professional musician. It can be challenging to write a book with two main characters, but hopefully you will warm to both Tamsin and Mia, two very different women but both with fundamentally good hearts.
The Second Wife came out in May of 2022 and it’s FREE in Kindle Unlimited or you can buy it for $2.99 / £1.99.

The mountains in Switzerland never fail to blow me away, especially bathed in pink.
