Name a Character in my next Psychological Thriller Novel!

In support of Sarcoma UK

I am giving someone the opportunity to name a character in my next stand-alone psychological thriller novel. Choose a goodie or a baddie! I am doing this to raise money for Sarcoma UK. It is not necessary to donate to in order to enter the raffle, but I am hoping that you will.

For every person who donates, I will match their donation. Yes, this could cost me a lot of money. I really hope it does because it is worth every penny.

This past week was Sarcoma Awareness Week, but every week should be Sarcoma Awareness Week. This is my story and this is what I’m going to do to raise money.

I was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma five years ago. Today I am the healthiest I have ever been; I have a new, wonderful career writing psychological thrillers and every day I give thanks that I am alive and mobile. It would be naive to say all is perfect because I do suffer pain in my leg and sometimes it is unbearable. But I have learned to live with it. Now when my leg screams at me I don’t go into an immediate panic thinking the sarcoma has come back. Instead I try to work out what has triggered the pain. Normally it’s stress and the weather. I have tried every cocktail of conventional medicine and unconventional therapies. Personally, I like a mixture of both.

I know I am so incredibly lucky. When I was going through treatment, I joined a small group of other women with different types of cancer, who came together online for support. Of the six of us, only two of us are still alive.

So little is known about sarcomas. My story is typical – it took three years to be diagnosed. Most GPs will only come across one patient with a sarcoma in all of their years of practice. Only 600 cases of bone sarcoma are diagnosed in the UK each year. The majority of suffers are children. Treatment is brutal. This is why funds are so desperately needed for research. And this is why I need to do my bit to raise money for Sarcoma UK and am hoping that you will join me. Every penny counts.

Please enter my giveaway on Instagram or Facebook. It’s not necessary to donate to enter, but I would be so grateful if you could.

I will select a winner via a random generator app on 21st August which was the day I was diagnosed five years ago.
