When Linden Lockwood is murdered in the beautiful home he shares with his wife Verity, their outwardly perfect life is shattered. And then Verity discovers that her husband was having an affair. She is determined to uncover who he was betraying her with and who killed him. Narrated from the perspective of Verity, the wife, and the other woman, the before and after chapters come together in such a clever and deeply shocking way. This is definitely my favourite ‘listen’ of the year. I was so engaged with the characters and despite being a consummate psychological thriller reader, the ending gave me whiplash in a brilliant way! As well as being a compelling story, Dandy Smith writes beautifully. An excellent book which I thoroughly recommend.
